THERAPY FOR HUMANS WHO ARE SUFFERING

Individual Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is for everyone! Emotional pain is part of life, we all experience it. Many of us grew up in environments where we weren’t taught how to handle feelings.

Maybe your childhood environment caused emotional pain?  The fallout of this is emotional highs and lows, loneliness, volatility in relationships, self esteem issues, self doubt, and destructive behavior.

Emotional pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. It’s possible to suffer less and grow your emotional tool kit to feel more prepared to handle life. Think of your emotions, thoughts and behaviors like a triangle, all connected. In DBT we learn tools to accept and change things about this triangle- the result is a stronger connection with what makes life worth living.

TURN TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER

Couples Therapy

Relationships are hard work. Life is so busy, and at some point it feels like the life you worked so hard to build together is getting in the way. Over time this means more conflict, less intimacy, cracks in the friendship foundation. Have you found yourself asking if you’re still happy?

Lean in to curiosity about whether or not your relationship could be better. Chances are, it can. Your partner is still the same person you decided to experience this life with.

Together we can learn what strengths your relationship has and where some growth would help. You and your partner will strengthen your friendship, learn to manage conflict differently and dream about the future together.

A TEAM FOR YOU AND YOUR TEEN

Teens & Family Therapy

Being a teenager is hard. The emotional waves feel more like tsunamis. Being the parent of a teen can be just as hard. If you have a teen at home and feel overwhelmed or a bit lost, you’re not alone. If you’re experiencing a gut feeling that your teen needs someone to talk to- pay attention.

We love working with teens and their families. It’s our bread and butter. First, we match your teen with the best therapist for them. Next, we evaluate the best way to involve parents. Parent involvement can look like family therapy with your teen or parent coaching with one of our clinicians.

Whether you’re dealing with the growing pains of adolescence or concerning mental health symptoms with your teen, let us help. We can address the tough stuff and have fun while doing it.

A SPACE TO GROW YOUR EMOTIONAL TOOLKIT

Group Therapy

It’s never too late to ask for help. Our brains are capable of so much, including relearning our own unwanted habits to replace them with more effective ones. The impact of doing so can’t be understated. Group members are here to reduce emotional suffering and connect with what makes their life worth living.

In this space we learn and practice the four core modules of DBT:

  • Mindfulness

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness

  • Emotion Regulation

  • Distress Tolerance

Our group meets virtually every Thursday from 12:00- 1:30PM. We are open for new members and ask for a month to month commitment. You can expect to be in the group for 6 months to get through the DBT workbook.

YOUR NEXT STOP

Step Down and Transitions of Care

Dealing with a mental health crisis and its aftermath is a delicate thing. Whether you’ve recently been in the hospital, or just completed intensive treatment like IOP or residential, you probably need help figuring out what’s next. Without a plan to transition back into life as scheduled- the risk for rehospitalization or further crisis increases.

All of our clinicians have worked in higher levels of care, from Intensive Outpatient (IOP) to Inpatient/ Hospitalization. If you’re looking for a place to land during the most vulnerable time in your recovery- we’re here to help and you don’t have to do it alone.
